Performance enquiries

Enquiries are welcome for concerts, performances and appearances by violinist Mai Suzuki.

Engagements may include concerto appearances, recitals, chamber music, cultural-exchange programmes, corporate or closed events, performances aboard ships and in hotels, school concerts, outreach, masterclasses, recordings and screen appearances. Short biography

Japanese violinist Mai Suzuki performs in Japan and internationally, with continuing engagements in Europe, including annual concerts in Germany. She also has a base in Hong Kong. She appears as a concerto soloist, recitalist and chamber musician, and her work encompasses cultural exchange and outreach.

Standard biography

Born in Kanagawa, Mai Suzuki graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts before continuing her studies in Lausanne, Salzburg and Munich. Her awards include First Prize and the Orchestra Prize at the 2013 Václav Huml International Violin Competition, First Prize at the Orpheus Swiss Chamber Music Competition and Second Prize at the 2016 Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition. She has appeared with leading orchestras in Japan and Europe. Her career is centred in Japan, while she continues to perform regularly in Europe, including annual concerts in Germany. She also has a base in Hong Kong. Her recordings include Mai Favorite for King Records and the 2025 DUO Les Ailes album Les ailes. She plays a 1682 Nicolò Amati “Grand Amati,” on loan via Atsumari.

神奈川県出身。東京藝術大学を卒業後、ローザンヌ、ザルツブルグ、ミュンヘンで研鑽を積む。2013年ヴァーツラフ・フムル国際ヴァイオリンコンクール優勝・オーケストラ賞、2016年スピヴァコフ国際ヴァイオリンコンクール第2位などを受賞。読売日本交響楽団、東京交響楽団、ローザンヌ室内管弦楽団をはじめオーケストラと共演。日本を中心に国内外で活動し、ドイツでの毎年の公演をはじめヨーロッパでも継続的に演奏している。香港にも拠点を置く。キングレコードからCD『Mai Favorite』、2025年にDUO Les Ailesでアルバム『翼』をリリース。1682年製ニコロ・アマティ『Grand Amati』を、株式会社atsumariを通じて貸与されている。

Die japanische Violinistin Mai Suzuki konzertiert vorwiegend in Japan und international. Sie ist regelmäßig in Europa zu erleben, darunter jedes Jahr in Deutschland, und hat außerdem eine Basis in Hongkong. Sie tritt als Solistin mit Orchester, in Recitals und in der Kammermusik auf; ihr Wirken umfasst auch Kulturaustausch und Outreach.

Mai Suzuki wurde in der japanischen Präfektur Kanagawa geboren und studierte an der Tokyo University of the Arts sowie in Lausanne, Salzburg und München.
